Moorpark Post 502 is raffling off an airplane ride in a vintage
WWII trainer called “The Pilot Maker”

$1.00 each or six for $5.00

(It’s a donation & all proceeds support the programs of The American Legion)

The drawing will be held at The American Legion Post in Moorpark on Tuesday,
December 2, 2008 at the annual Post dinner.

You need not be present to win.

The winning ticket holder will have SIX MONTHS to redeem the prize from the
Jason Air Racing team at Camarillo Airport .

The North American T-6 Texan was known as "the pilot maker" because of its important role in preparing pilots for combat.  The Texan filled the need for a basic combat trainer during WW II.  In all, more than 17,000 airframes were designed to the Texan standards and today, 350 are still airworthy.
